Tarot Reading Online in India: What to Expect

You do not need to be in a metro to sit with a reader. Here is how an online session is booked from any Indian city, what happens during it, and how to tell a real reading from a sales funnel.

Tarot Reading Online in India: What to Expect

01

What is a tarot reading online in India?

It is a live video session with a reader, booked for a fixed time, in which the cards are laid out on the reader's table and shown to you on screen. You describe your situation, the reader reads the spread aloud, and the two of you work through what it raises.

For anyone outside the big cities, this is the practical route. Nagpur, Kochi, Indore, Guwahati, Chandigarh — the city you live in stops mattering the moment the session moves to a call. At VastuKimaya, tarot reading is held online only, by video call, using the Rider–Waite–Smith 78-card deck.

Reversed cards are part of the reading rather than a warning. A reversed card usually points to something slowed, turned inward or not yet ready, and it is discussed in that spirit.

02

How do you book a session from another city?

You write or call, describe briefly what you want to look at, and a time is agreed. The first consultation call is free, and on that call the process is explained before anything is booked.

Readings are charged at ₹1,000 per spread. How long to set aside and how the payment is made are settled on the first call rather than assumed — it takes two minutes and avoids confusion later.

Sessions can be held in English, Hindi, Marathi or Gujarati. Say which you prefer when you book; people are usually more candid in their own language.

03

Which spread will be used?

The spread follows the question, not the other way round. This is decided together on the first call, and a good reader will sometimes suggest a smaller spread than you expected because the question does not need more.

  • 01

    Single card

One prompt for one focus. Enough when you want something to think against, not a full analysis.

  • 02

    Three-card spread

The common opening — what brought this about, where things stand, what is forming.

  • 03

    Celtic Cross

The long form, for a situation with several people, pressures and half-made decisions inside it.

  • 04

    Relationship spread

Shaped for questions about a bond — what each side is carrying into it, and what is unsaid.

  • 05

    Career spread

For work questions: a role, a shift, a stalled patch, or the pull between security and interest.

  • 06

    Option and yes/no spreads

Option lays two or three routes side by side. Yes/no is narrow by design and still opens into discussion.

04

What actually happens during the session?

You talk first. The reader will usually spend the opening minutes getting the question into a usable shape, because half of the value of a reading is in the sharpening of the question itself.

Then the cards are laid and turned one at a time, described as they come, and connected to what you have said. You are expected to speak — to agree, to push back, to say 'that does not fit'. A session where you sit silently while someone talks at you is a performance, not a reading.

Towards the end the conversation usually turns practical: what you could actually do this week, who you might need to speak to, and what you are going to stop doing. That is the part worth writing down.

05

What will a reading not do?

It will not tell you what is going to happen. Tarot here is used for reflection, so no dates, no outcomes, no naming of who will do what. If a reader offers you a date, that is a reason to end the call.

It will not substitute for professional advice. Medical worries belong with a doctor, legal matters with a lawyer, and money decisions with a qualified financial adviser. A reading can help you see how you feel about your options; it cannot tell you whether a treatment, a case or an investment is right.

And it will not fix distress. If you are struggling — not sleeping, not coping, not functioning — please speak to a mental-health professional. In India you can call the free Tele-MANAS helpline on 14416 (or 1-800-891-4416), available 24×7.

06

How do you avoid unsafe readings online?

The pattern to watch for is simple: a frightening result, followed immediately by a paid remedy. Fear and a payment link in the same breath is a sales funnel wearing spiritual clothes.

  • 01

    Book through a real practice

A proper website, a working phone number and a physical address tell you who you are dealing with.

  • 02

Know the fee before you start

One stated charge, agreed in advance. Repeated top-ups for extra remedies during a session are a warning sign.

  • 03

    Share only your question

A reading needs what is on your mind. It does not need bank details, ID documents or your family's information.

  • 04

    Agree about recording

Settle in advance whether the session is recorded and who keeps the file. It should never appear on social media.

  • 05

    Ignore urgency

Nothing in a reading is time-critical. Anyone insisting you must pay today to avoid something is not helping you.

  • 06

    Skip the free apps

Automated card generators are entertainment. There is no conversation, and nobody to say a question cannot be answered this way.

07

When is a different service more useful?

Sometimes the question is really about a place. If you keep circling the same argument in the same flat, or a new house has never felt settled, a distant Vastu analysis from a floor plan and photographs will get you further than cards.

If the problem is depletion rather than indecision — a long stretch of exhaustion after a difficult year — Reiki as a relaxation practice may suit better, alongside, never instead of, medical care.

A reading is at its most useful when you have a real choice in front of you and cannot hear your own thinking over the noise around it.

Booking an online reading

Dr. Kimaya Parikh-Ambekar reads tarot online, by video call, for clients across India from VastuKimaya's office at A-1304, Naman Premier, Marol Military Road, Andheri East, Mumbai 400059.

Call or message +91 70391 07512, or write to stayblessed@vastukimaya.com, with a line about what you want to look at. The first consultation call is free, the process is explained on it, and readings are ₹1,000 per spread for adults aged 18 and over.

Take a few quiet minutes before the call — a little मौन (maun, silence) beforehand does more for a session than any amount of reading up on the cards. Other services, including remote Vastu, can be arranged the same way.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do I have to be in Mumbai for a tarot reading?

No. Readings are held online by video call, so they work from any city in India. Only the timing needs agreeing, and the session itself runs exactly as it would in person.

How much does an online tarot reading cost?

₹1,000 per spread. The first consultation call is free, and on that call the spread suited to your question and the payment arrangement are both settled.

Can the reader shuffle the cards if I am not there?

Yes, that is the normal arrangement for an online session. The deck and the spread are shown to you on camera as the reading is laid out.

Can I ask about my health or a court case?

Not for an answer. Those belong with a doctor or a lawyer. A reading can help you think about how you are coping with the situation, but never about the medical or legal outcome.

Are free online tarot apps any use?

As entertainment, yes. As guidance, no — there is no conversation, nothing adapts to your situation, and nobody is there to decline a question tarot cannot address.

What if the internet drops mid-session?

Agree a fallback phone number before you begin. A dropped call is a technical problem with no meaning attached to it, and the session simply picks up again.
