Tarot for Business Owners and Startups
Founders carry decisions nobody else can make for them. A tarot reading offers a structured hour of reflection — not forecasts, funding advice or promises about results.

01
Can a tarot reading help someone running a business?
It can help with the thinking, not the numbers. Running a business means making decisions with incomplete information, usually alone, and usually while several people wait for an answer. A reading creates a quiet, structured hour in which you say the decision out loud to someone who is not an investor, a co-founder or your family.
That is the whole mechanism. The cards act as prompts; the value comes from what you notice while talking through them. Nothing in a reading forecasts sales, funding or the behaviour of a competitor.
02
What does tarot for business actually look like?
It looks like a focused conversation around one clearly stated question. You bring the situation, the reader lays out a spread, and each card becomes a lens on a part of the problem you may have been skipping over.
Owners often arrive with a question like 'should I open the second outlet?' and leave having realised the actual question was 'can I hand over the first one?'. Reframing the question is frequently the most useful thing that happens in the hour.
03
What do founders and owners usually bring?
The recurring themes are partnership, timing, hiring and the point at which to stop something. All of them are judgement calls rather than calculations.
01
Partnerships
Whether to take on a partner, how to raise an uncomfortable issue with an existing one, or how to plan an exit conversation fairly.
02
Expansion and timing
A second shop, a bigger office, a new city, a new product line — usually a question about readiness rather than opportunity.
03
Team and delegation
Why key tasks never leave the owner's desk, and what would have to be true to let go of them.
04
Knowing when to stop
Closing a line, ending a client relationship, or accepting that a plan has run its course. This is often the hardest to say aloud.
05
The founder's own energy
Whether the business is draining you faster than it is growing, and what needs to change first.
04
What a business reading will not do
It will not predict revenue, funding, court cases, market movements or what a competitor will do. It will not tell you which stock or scheme to put money into, and it is not financial, legal or tax advice. Those belong with a chartered accountant, a lawyer and a qualified adviser.
It also will not name dates. If someone tells you a card shows money arriving in a particular month, that is fortune-telling, not reflection, and it is worth walking away from. An honest reading gives you a clearer head, not a schedule.
05
Using a reading before a difficult decision point
A reading is most useful just before a conversation or a commitment, when the information is already in and the hesitation is the problem. Common moments are the week before a partnership talk, a lease signing, a price rise or a difficult exit.
A simple practice helps here: write one सङ्कल्प (sankalpa, a clearly stated resolve) at the end of the session — a single sentence describing what you will do and by when. A reading that ends without one sentence you can act on has not finished its job.

Where does Vastu for the workspace fit in?
Vastu works on the place where all these decisions get made. It looks at where the owner sits and which way they face, where the cash counter or locker is, how the entrance and reception read to a visitor, and whether the centre of the office is open.
For owners and startups, office and cabin Vastu is often reviewed at the same time as a move or a fit-out, because that is when changes are cheap. Some owners also look at numerology for a business or brand name. None of these replaces a sound business plan; they are supports around it.
07
When the real issue is exhaustion, not strategy
Sometimes a reading makes it plain that the business decision is not the problem at all — the owner is simply running on empty. Long hours, personal guarantees on loans and responsibility for other people's salaries take a real toll, and reflection alone will not fix that.
If you are struggling with sustained stress, low mood or anxiety, please speak to a doctor or a mental-health professional. In India, the free Tele-MANAS helpline is available on 14416 (or 1-800-891-4416), 24×7. Tarot, Vastu and healing therapies can sit alongside that support; they do not replace it.

When to book a session
Book a session when a business decision has been unresolved for weeks, when you are about to have a conversation you have been postponing, or when a new office or shop is being planned and you want to think clearly before committing.
Dr. Kimaya Parikh-Ambekar offers tarot reading from VastuKimaya's office at Andheri East, Mumbai, along with Vastu consultancy for offices, shops and clinics, on-site across the city or as a distant consultation using floor plans and photographs.
Questions
Frequently asked
Can tarot tell me whether my startup will succeed?
No. Tarot is used as a reflection tool, not a forecast. A reading can help you examine your assumptions and your readiness, but it says nothing about outcomes.
Can a reading help me choose between two business options?
It can help you see what each option really asks of you and which one you are quietly avoiding. The choice, and the due diligence behind it, stays with you.
Is tarot appropriate for a serious corporate decision?
Treat it as structured reflection time, in the same spirit as talking a decision through with a mentor. It should never displace data, advice from professionals or your board.
Should I bring my co-founder to the reading?
Only if you both want to. Many owners prefer a session alone so they can speak freely, then take what they learned into the partnership conversation.
Can a reading advise me on investments or loans?
No. Financial decisions need a qualified financial adviser, your bank or your chartered accountant. A reading can only address how the decision is sitting with you personally.
